※ Progress may vary depending on skin type, pigment depth and thickness, the nature of the lesion, and lifestyle factors.

To explain it briefly,
age spots are often viewed a little differently from faint, superficial blemishes.

They may look like brown dots or patches on the surface,
but in reality, some can be darker,
have more defined borders,
or be slightly raised.

So in cases like this,
rather than approaching them like simple brightening care,
it is more realistic to look at the thickness and extent of the lesion,
the contrast with the surrounding skin tone,
and whether there are other types of pigment mixed in,
then proceed with the flow of
diagnosis → lesion-specific treatment planning → follow-up assessment → adjustment if needed.

When looking at before-and-after photos,
it is also better not to focus only on
“Was it completely removed in one session?”

Instead, it is more helpful to look at
how much the border of the brown lesion has softened,
how much the overall skin tone has improved,
and how much the color difference from the surrounding skin has decreased.

Aftercare does not need to be complicated.

For about 1 to 2 weeks,
it is better to avoid harsh home-care products such as scrubs, peeling pads, strong acid-based products, and retinol,
and focus mainly on moisturization and sun protection.

That usually helps keep the healing process more stable.

Especially with this kind of pigment,
the changes are often better judged over time rather than immediately after treatment,
as crusting settles and tone differences gradually calm down,
so checking the intermediate course is also important.

※ After treatment, temporary redness, warmth, dryness, flaking, crusting, temporary darkening of pigment, or temporary tone differences may occur. Skin response and recovery speed vary from person to person, and if symptoms are severe or persist, an in-person evaluation may be needed.
