CASE 3: Before treatment → mid-course follow-up → mid-course follow-up → about 29 weeks later (2024-03-08 → 2024-05-10 → 2024-07-19 → 2024-09-27)

※ Progress may vary depending on skin type, pigment density, sun exposure, and individual skin response.

To explain it briefly,

freckles often appear as many small brown spots spread across a wider area, so it is important to look at the overall skin tone improvement, not just whether a few spots disappeared.

That is why in cases like this,
instead of only asking how many spots are gone,
it is more realistic to look at
how much the overall pigment has faded,
how much more even the skin tone looks,
and how much the density of the remaining pigment has decreased.

Another important point is that
during the treatment process, some areas may look temporarily lighter, pinker, or slightly flaky.

Many people search terms like
hypopigmentation, white patches after laser, or uneven light spots,
but not every lighter area means the same thing.

These changes can look different depending on treatment intensity, skin response, and recovery speed.

So for this type of case,
the usual approach is
diagnosis → checking the pigment distribution → planning the treatment strength and interval → monitoring progress and adjusting if needed.

Aftercare does not have to be complicated.

For about 1 to 2 weeks,
it is better to avoid harsh skincare such as scrubs, peeling pads, strong AHA/BHA products, or retinol,
and focus on moisturization and sun protection.

That usually helps keep the recovery process more stable.

Freckles are also quite affected by UV exposure,
so if sun protection becomes inconsistent after treatment,
the pigment can look darker again or the skin tone may start to look uneven.

※ After treatment, temporary redness, warmth, dryness, flaking, crusting, temporary hypopigmentation, or temporary darkening of pigment may occur. Recovery speed and skin response vary by individual. If symptoms become severe or last longer than expected, an in-person evaluation may be needed.
