Many people think that if they undergo Pico Toning, melasma, spots, and pigmentation will disappear completely in just one session.

However, when they actually try the treatment,

“I feel like even after receiving it 2–3 times, there isn’t much difference.”

Such comments are also often heard.

Why are the results so different?

The answer is simple.

“How it was done.”

It all depends on that.

1. Melasma and spots — they are different from the name itself

Patients often say, “I have a lot of melasma,”
or “I want to remove some spots,”

but in reality, there are many more types of pigmentation disorders.

Moles, freckles, Ota nevus, melasma, flat warts…

the causes are different, the depth is different,
and the laser wavelengths they respond to are also different.

Therefore, the formula of Pico Toning = solving all pigmentation does not hold true.

First, it is necessary to accurately diagnose what type of pigmentation it is,
and only by selecting the appropriate device and settings for it
will the before-and-after effects appear.

2. Diagnosis by the doctor, analysis by diagnostic equipment

If the consultation ends only with a visual check,
the effectiveness is likely to be low.

Since even small differences can affect the results of pigmentation treatment,
it is important to combine the doctor’s direct diagnosis with analysis using a skin diagnostic device, such as Mark-Vu,
under the same lighting and angle conditions.

Only through such a process can the before-and-after changes be recorded objectively,
and patients can also have trust in the results.

3. Seoul Pico Toning is a “method,” not the “name of a machine”

PicoSure, PicoPlus…

you may have heard these device names before.

However, what is important is “which wavelength,
which pulse width, and which settings suit your own skin.”

Skin type, depth of pigmentation, past treatment experience, recovery speed…

only by considering all of these and applying a customized setting will the treatment be effective.

Even with the same procedure,
some people see clear results after just 2 sessions,
while others need to persist with 5 or more sessions
before they finally feel the change — this is the reason why.

4. Before & After photos?

Check the lighting and angle

Many people look at Before & After photos on the internet…

…but many people choose a clinic based on them.

However, comparisons are only meaningful if the photos are taken under the same lighting, the same angle, and the same conditions.

Otherwise, there is always the possibility that the results were “staged” to look better.

5. How many times do I need to receive it?

There is no single correct answer

“Doctor, how many times will it take to improve?”

This is one of the most frequently asked questions in the consultation room.

To be honest, there is no single correct answer.

Shallow pigmentation may improve even after 1–2 sessions,
but deep and long-standing melasma requires 5 or more continuous treatments
to gradually show improvement.

Therefore, a trustworthy clinic would never say,
“It will be finished in just one session.”

Instead, the right approach is to realistically explain the current condition,
the expected effects, the anticipated number of sessions, and the costs.

Seoul Pico Toning Before and After Effects — Why Do They Differ from Person to Person?

In the end, the key point is just one:

The results depend on “who performs the treatment, and how it is done.”

✔ Accurate diagnosis
✔ A wide range of devices available
✔ Customized settings
✔ Transparent Before & After comparisons

I hope you will check the above points before receiving treatment.
